Hello everybody!
Have you ever heard about the brazilian expression "e aí, beleza?!" ? If your answer was yes or not, read this tip, it will be helpful to you.
According dictionary, the word "beleza" means: "beauty, gracefulness, loveliness, handsomeness, good looks. Beautiful person, animal or thing."; but, in brazilian slang it means "ok", "alright", "how are you?", "what's up?".
So, if somebody say "e aí, beleza?!" he or her is not talking about your beauty, he or her is just
saying "Hey, what's up", "how are you?", and you can answer just "beleza" if everything is ok with you.
It's funny, isn't it?
See you next week, beleza?
Bye bye
